Just so there is no confusion these are going to be the FINAL game day
rules for 2007.
1) If a player is excused from
practice during the week that player will be allowed
to dress, but will not play in the
FIRST half. He will be eligible to play in the
third quarter.
*note* being excused means that the
player contacted someone
prior to the start of practice and let them know they
needed to miss practice and had a legitimate reason for missing practice -
i.e., work, family, sick. (not having a ride IS NOT a valid reason for
missing practice). If you are not allowed to dress for a game YOU MUST
show up and be wearing your game jersey. If a player refuses to show up
because they are ineligible to play, they will be REMOVED from the roster.
2) Players who do make it to practice,
but are unable to practice (due to injury, sick, needing to leave early or
being to late to dress), will be unable to start and will sit out at least
the first series. This is so Coach Dan and Coach Shawn know who is playing
and can put in the adjustments and special plays for the upcoming game.
This will also eliminate the confusion of who is on special teams. (If you
are on them at practice on weds night...you are on them in the game.)
*Note* the first series could be one
play or it could be longer depending on the flow of the game and the
coaches discretion.
What these two rules mean is....MAKE
IT to practice. Be on time for practice and BE ready to practice. This is
not the NFL where you can miss practice time and expect to play and start.
Weds night practices will continue to run just like last night...we will
no longer be going full contact during practice.
If anyone has any questions feel free
to call me.
